As the father of an autistic child, I have been faced with more than a few necessary home modifications projects. Unfortunately, with the high cost of raising a special needs child and my wife's decision to stay home and raise our son, there simply was no room in our budget to hire a contractor to complete these projects for us. Each weekend for nearly a year, I would pick a project to work on. This past month, I finally finished every project on my list. After learning more than I thought I would ever know about home construction and repair, I have a new found appreciation for the skills of general and specialty contractors. That is why I decided to start this blog to pay tribute to the job these contractors do, and help to empower more homeowners to take on the role of a contractor in their home.
If you own a restaurant that is located in a big city, there is a good chance that there is a fence separating your business's property from the neighboring properties, especially if you have patio or garden seating. While this fence may be great for creating privacy for your guests, it can be a bit of an eyesore. Use the following guide to learn how to make the most of the fencing you have around the back of your restaurant.
Add A Splash Of Color
If you want to really make the fence look stylish and eye-catching, consider painting it. You can have paint dyed to any color you want to ensure that the exterior patio and garden seating areas look the same as the interior of your restaurant. Be sure that you choose an exterior paint to use on the fence so that it will be able to stand up to the elements without needing to be repainted often.
Use The Fence As Advertising Space
The fence will often be six to eight feet in height. That gives you a lot of open space to use as advertising space. You can hang banners companies send you when you to try to get you to promote their liquor or food. You can also advertise events your business has coming up in the near future or specials you will be running for the month. The space is there, why not make the most of it?
Create Romantic Ambiance
When couples come out to enjoy a bite to eat on a warm summer evening, being able to spend time together in a restaurant that has romantic ambiance is important. You can hang string lights on the fence to create the ambiance the couples will want. Be sure to choose lighting has white bulbs as they cast a more romantic glow than the colored bulbs.
The commercial fence can actually be beneficial for your business, if you use it properly. You can start to promote that your restaurant has a comfy, romantic atmosphere that is private for intimate nights out with loved ones. This will be very appealing to many couples and will more than likely not be easy to find anywhere else in the city. These simple upgrades are easy enough that you can do them on your own. They are very affordable, as well to ensure that you do not have to spend an arm and a leg to transform the fence into something beautiful.Share
